Silvertree Care Teams

Silvertree was designed to alert family, friends, or those important to you of an emergency before 911. We recommend setting up a Care Team to have the best experience. However, Silvertree is also designed to give you the flexibility to have the tailored experience you need.

Below is what will happen during an emergency if you do not have a Care Team set up.

Automatic Fall Detection

If a fall is automatically detected on your Reach device:

  1. If a fall is detected, you will have 5 minutes to cancel the alarm. During this time, you can cancel the SOS on your Reach or in your Silvertree profile.

  2. If the SOS is not canceled within 5 minutes then the alert will be sent to the RapidSOS call center.

  3. If escalated to RapidSOS, you will receive a text message from RapidSOS, asking for you to confirm the emergency.

  4. If you confirm a real emergency via text or are unable to respond to the text message within the designated time, a Safety Agent will attempt to call to confirm help and retrieve any additional information pertaining to the emergency.

  5. If the Safety Agent can't get in touch with you, the Agent will proceed to contact the local 911 on your behalf and will dispatch emergency services to the wearer's location (based on the GPS coordinates of the Silvertree device).

Canceling an SOS

You have the ability to Cancel an SOS in the Silvertree app or with the button on the side of the Reach. Below is an image of what the pop-up will look like during an active SOS alert. Tapping 'Stop SOS' will stop the alert. Your Reach will stop blinking Red after a few seconds.

Button Press

If you press the button on the side of your Reach device:

  1. If the button on the side of your Reach is pressed, you will have 60 seconds to cancel the alarm. During this time, you can cancel the SOS on your Reach or in your Silvertree profile.

  2. If the SOS is not canceled within 60 seconds then the alert will be sent to the RapidSOS call center.

  3. If escalated to RapidSOS, you will receive a text message from RapidSOS, asking for you to confirm the emergency.

  4. If you confirm a real emergency via text or are unable to respond to the text message within the designated time, a Safety Agent will attempt to call to confirm help and retrieve any additional information about the emergency.

  5. If the Safety Agent can't get in touch with you, the Agent will proceed to contact the local 911 on your behalf and will dispatch emergency services to the wearer's location (based on the GPS coordinates of the Silvertree device).
