On Android phones, you can customize your tone and make your phone flash when your loved one needs your help and Silvertree has detected a fall or the SOS button has been pressed. Follow the steps below to change your notification settings on an Android.

(Note: This is not possible yet with an iOS iPhone or iPad)

Select urgent tone when SOS attention is needed

  1. Start by swiping down to open your Quick Settings menu, and choose the gear-like Settings icon.

  2. Scroll down until you reach Apps, and select it.

  3. Your downloaded apps will appear in alphabetical order. Scroll down until you see silvertree and click on it.

  4. Go to App Settings section and select Notifications options.

  5. Make sure Notifications are enabled. Show notifications should be turned on.

  6. This may vary a little pending the type of Samsung phone, but you should see Notification categories (on some older Galaxy phones, you'll need to select Miscellaneous instead).

  7. Then click on which type of notification you'd like to change for sound, such as SOS notifications.

  8. In the next window, select Sound. This will bring up the list of potential notification sounds, where you can pick whichever sound you want to enable.

  9. From this screen, you can also ensure to set 'Ignore Do not disturb'.

  10. You can repeat steps 7 - 8 for any of the notifications from Silvertree, as you see fit!

Screen Flash when SOS attention is needed

  1. Start by swiping down to open your Quick Settings menu, and choose the gear-like Settings icon.

  2. Scroll down until you reach Accessibility, and select it.

  3. Select Advanced Settings.

  4. Select Flash notification

  5. Select Screen flash notification.

  6. Select Selected apps and then select Silvertree from the list.

  7. This will turn on the ability to make the phone screen flash when a notification is received from Silvertree.
